Why life coaching?

Life coaching – is it really necessary? Well no, not really. Just like a soccer team or a basketball team really does not need a coach. I mean, each individual player are highly performing and really good at their sport. Likewise, they are all players in a team and are well aware that it is not their individual performance alone that will get their team the victory. They all understand that they need to work together to outsmart and outperform the other team. Even so, all teams (I dare say) benefit greatly from having a coach, pulling recourses in one direction, seeing things from another perspective, setting goals, boosting the spirit, shaping the minds and the mental perception of each player to play a part in the greater context.

Same goes for each and every one of us. We are all experts on our own lives, know what works and what doesn’t. Know what motivates us and what makes us loose hope. We all know it. We are all the best and only source of information regarding our own lives. Even so, neither of us are a one man army that claim victory after victory in an unstoppable parade of life. We all have our ups and downs. We all have our good days and bad days. We all get stuck and struggle, and when we get stuck and frustrated, when our efforts of going forward just seems to lead us right back at where we started. Then it is good to ask for external input. Friends, family, persons that hopefully are always there for you. But every now and then it is good to get the perspective of others. To get a fresh pair of eyes to reflect your own picture of yourself in. Someone who does not know you. Someone who have taken interest in helping others move forward. Someone who have thoughts, perspectives, tools or methods that can be applied in various situations, as a help to get moving forward. As a help to raise motivation. As a help to achieve your dreams and reach your goals.

This is why I have taken an interest in life coaching. Not because I know everything, or know the best way forward for you. That is something I believe only you know. But by assisting you in your journey, helping you challenge the things you think you already know, gaining new perspectives or inspirations, I can help you find your right path. Not by something I do, but by giving you a nudge here and there, helping you (re)discover your own path and your own truth(s).
